This week Thursday, 28 April 2016, is World Day for Safety and Health at Work. How are you planning to celebrate this day?

Every day millions of Rand’s is lost due to death and injury at the work place. The costs are incurred due to lost work days, medical treatment, workers compensation and rehabilitation of occupational injuries and diseases.

These costs can be greatly minimised if every single person in the company thinks “Health and Safety” and makes prevention a priority. Companies should think of ways in which prevention can become part of the culture in the organisation. Raising awareness and knowledge of occupational hazards and risks and how to prevent and control them is key for this process.

This year the theme is WORKPLACE STRESS: A COLLECTIVE CHALLENGE.

world Day for Safety and Health at Work

Ensuring decent, safe, and healthy working conditions and environments is the responsibility of us all!
